Tick Hero Returns
Service Amazon has decided to give a new screen life to the heroes of Ben Edlund's popular satirical comic " Tick Hero ", reports Deadline .The first issue of the original graphic novel went on sale in 1986. Eight years later, an animated series based on her was filmed, which lasted for three seasons. In 2001, Fox attempted to create a live-action series, but the sitcom The Tick was closed after the release of the ninth episode. With broadcasts on other channels and successful sales of DVD , the comedy has achieved cult status among viewers. Ben Edlund himself will be the scriptwriter of the Amazon service project. The creator of the original comic strip already has extensive TV experience, including the series Firefly ( Firefly ), Supernatural ( Supernatural ), Revolution ( Revolution ) and Gotham ( Gotham ).  According to insiders, Wally Pfister has been asked to take the directorial chair of the pilot episode. The debut of the Oscar laureate as a director was the film "Excellence", and before that Pfister worked as a cameraman for such films by Christopher Nolan as "Remember", "Insomnia", " The Prestige, The Beginning, and The Dark Knight Trilogy.  The creators of the series are already in full swing casting for the main roles. In the new version, Tick-hero will appear in the form of a comic fighter against evil, suffering from memory gaps. His partner is Arthur Everest , whom others consider mentally ill because of his statements that the city is in dire danger. Griffin Newman (Draft Day) will portray the protagonist's faithful assistant, and Valorie Carrie (The Followers / The Following ) will play the role of his sister Arthur - Dot .
