Disney will dig for love
Walt Disney Studios and Whitaker Entertainment have acquired the rights to the film, which will be a full-length version of a short film titled Dig , according to the Tracking Board b>. The original film was released in 2011, and filmed according to his own script by Philip Hodges.The plot of this dramatic comedy revolves around a boy who is trying to dig a tunnel to China, where a girl he likes lives. Underground, he encounters three toy creatures that teach him the true meaning of love. The full-length version will be directed by Hodges and will be produced by James Whitaker (Robin Hood, Pete's Dragon) and Adam Borba . Philip previously filmed only short films, as well as video clips and commercials.
