The short film ”Whisper” is waiting for the full length
Amblin Partners is going to shoot a full-length film Whisper based on the horror short of the same name, reports the Internet portal Deadline. The film will be directed by Julian Terry, director of the original film. Andrew Rona (Equilibrium) and Alex Heineman (Air Marshal) will be the producers of the future horror film, and the script will be written by Bryce McGuire (Night Bathing).In the short original, the otherworldly entity uses gadgets and household appliances as a gateway to penetrate our world to deal with the film's heroine. According to some reports, the full-length project will be filmed in the spirit of "Poltergeist". The rights to the production of the film were acquired last week, and the management of the company has already begun the preparatory stage of filming. The original "Whisper" lasts long enough to create an atmosphere of dread and intimidate the viewer. In its duration and concept, it is reminiscent of the Spanish horror short film Mama. His full-length remake kicked off the careers of Andres and Barbara Muschetti - the director and screenwriter of the highest-grossing horror film in the history of cinema, "It", based on the novel by Stephen King.  This will be the second full-length project based on the short film, which is being developed by Amblin and The Picture Company. They are currently doing the horror film Larry with Gillian Jacobs (Ibiza) and Azhi Robertson (The Americans). Robertson plays a boy communicating with a supernatural being using his smartphone. The short and full film is directed by Jacob Chase (Babylon 5: The Beginning) and will executive produce The Whisper. Bryce McGuire recently sold New Line the rights to his horror short Night Bathing, for the full version of which he himself wrote an adaptation.
