Winnie and Company will receive a full-length film
The information portal Collider has learned that Disney is starting work on a full-length game version of the cartoon " Winnie the Bear and His Friends ".The studio has already found a director for the new project - it will be Alex Ross Perry, who presented at the Sundance 2014 film "Listen Philip" with Jason Schwartzman and Elisabeth Moss. The plot of the remake will focus on theadult Christopher Robin , who returns to the enchanted forest to have fun with old friends: a voracious bear, a sad donkey, a clumsy pig and others.  This is not the first time that Disney has invited an indie director to remake its classic cartoons. Thus, the shooting of the new film "Pete's Dragon" will be headed by David Lowry, whose track record includes the crime drama "On the Run". In addition to the aforementioned "Dragon Pete" , full-length fictional versions of the animated films "Mulan", "Beauty and the Beast", "The Jungle Book" and "Dumbo" went into production. Curiously, last year director Brett Ratner announced his desire to explore the origins of the legendary Winnie the Pooh . However, details about that project were never received.
