Slender Man to Get His Own Movie
Screen Gems studio is preparing a new horror movie, the main character of which will be Slenderman - an Internet meme, also known as Skinny or Thin man . This is reported by the news site Comicbook . The script for the new project was written by David Burke ("13 Sins"), and its shooting is scheduled for this fall.The character Slenderman is the result of a contest held on the Something Awful forum. Participants were asked to add supernatural creatures to ordinary pictures in a graphic editor. Erik Knudsen posted photos of children and a tall, thin man in a black suit standing nearby. According to the legend invented by the author, Slenderman kidnapped children and forced people to do horrible things. The fictional character soon became so popular that he became the protagonist of short films and video games.  Screen Gems has considerable experience in the horror genre.
