Space killer clowns return to screens
Almost thirty years have passed since the release of the comedy horror film Killer Clowns from Space in 1988. The picture is popular to this day, and therefore it was logical to expect the return of killer clowns to the screens. However, instead of a full-length remake of the tape, viewers will receive a television series that will be a sequel and a reboot at the same time.The idea to revive the franchise belongs to the director of the original film Stephen Chiodo , who also co-wrote the film. Talk about a sequel to Killer Clowns from Space has been going on for the past few years, but there have been no official statements regarding this project in the media. In a recent interview with Movie Crypt Podcast , Chiodo noted,“We are currently preparing a series for cable TV. We thought for a long time whether to shoot a sequel or a remake first, and in the end we decided to combine these two formats into one. While the project is under development. We have plans to create a four-part series about the adventures of people faced with the invasion of clowns from space. At some point, characters familiar to the audience will appear with their stories about what has happened over the past 25 years. It will be cool! ”.  From the words of Stephen Chiodo , it is not entirely clear exactly how the director plans to bring back the killer clowns. Perhaps one of the four parts mentioned will be a feature film, or the series will turn out to be an addition to the trilogy.  Recall that in the original,lovers Mike and Debbie notice a meteorite falling near their hometown. The guys set off to find out what happened and discover a circus tent with pink cocoons inside. Local authorities consider the story of teenagers a joke, but clowns from outer space go hunting, intending to gorge themselves on people.
