Chucky will be back on TV (Topic)

The famous killer doll Chucky will return to the screens, but this time viewers will follow her atrocities. Screenwriter Don Mancini, who worked on the original movie, announced the preparations for the movieing of a television series based on the cult thriller "Children's Games".

On his official Twitter page, he published an illustration with a corresponding announcement, without specifying when exactly it's worth waiting for the TV show to come out. Recall that the cult series was launched by a full-length movie released in 1988. In the center of the plot was a doll, into which the soul of a deceased serial killer possessed. The project did not become a box office hit, but, as sometimes happens, the very image of Chucky gained immense popularity.

A total of seven movies have been released, the last of which is titled "The Cult of Chucky" presented to viewers in 2017. Several crossovers were also planned, for example, with the series "A Nightmare on Elm Street", but these plans were not destined to come true.

In 2014, Mancini himself talked about the possible appearance of Chucky in one of the horror movies about another doll - Annabelle. "I hope that at some point we will be able to see how Chucky and Annabelle unite on the screen. I believe they will be popular in 20 years," he said then.
