DeLillo's “Names” Go To The Big Screen

Image Director Alex Ross Perry (Queen of the Earth, Listen Philip) has acquired the film rights to Don DeLillo's novel Names , reports Variety ... The book was published in 1982, and fans of the writer still consider it underrated. Perry plans to adapt the script himself and lead the filming of the project. He will also co-produce the film with Christos Constantakopoulos.

The novel is set in 1979. In the center of the plot is an American who is trying to uncover murders associated with a mysterious cult in Athens. As the investigation progresses, in which the protagonist and his family are drawn against their will, he realizes that finding the culprits is very important for himself.

Currently Perry is working on the script for a full-length fiction film based on the cartoon "Winnie the Bear and His Friends". As for DeLillo , another novel of his in 2012 became the basis of David Cronenberg's fantasy drama Cosmopolis, starring Robert Pattinson.
