Casting: Aris to the Rogue Senate, Pullman to the White House
According to Empire , Briton Jonathan Aris ("Sherlock" / Sherlock , "People" / Humans ) can perform one of the roles in the spin-off " Rogue " in the universe of "Star Wars". So far, there is no official confirmation of the casting, and information about it was posted on the Spotlight website. It is reported that the actor will become a certain senator Jebel in the new film.The project is directed by Gareth Edwards, while Gary Witt and Chris Weitz contributed to the script. While Felicity Jones has joined the cast, Reese Ahmed, Sam Claflin, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelssohn are in talks with the studio.The spin-off plot revolves around a group of rebels devising a plan on how to steal the blueprints of the first Death Star.Chronologically, Outcast will unfold between episodes 3 and 4 of the space saga.  According to reports from the same source, Bill Pullman ("Independence Day") will play the role of another politician in a biopic dedicated to the life of Lyndon Baines Johnson, which will be directed by Rob Reiner. This time, of course, it is not about the invasion of aliens, but about the protection of human rights. The main role in this project belongs to Woody Harrelson, who will appear in the image of the 36th President of the United States and together with him will go from the south of the country to the White House.Following the assassination of John F. Kennedy, then-Vice President Johnson found himself in the Oval Office and attempted to heal the nation. The politician promoted the passage of the Civil Rights Act, which helped to eradicate racial segregation in the southern states.  Pullman in this story got the role of Democratic Senator Ralph Yarborough, who, despite the fact that he and Johnson were fellow countrymen, often disagreed with the newly-made president. Rich Sommer, Richard Jenkins, Eric Lange, Tim Ransom will also take part in the filming of the biopic. They will begin in September and will take place in New Orleans, Dallas and Washington. In addition to the sequel to Independence Day, which is set for release in June next year, Pullman will also appear in the action comedy Ultra-Americans, which opens in USA theaters on September 3.
