Marvel Comics has decided not to release a comic book series that was supposed to be a kind of prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. According to ComicBook, all pre-orders, including those at major sites like Amazon, have been canceled without explanation.

The series was announced at the C2E2 conference, which took place in March 2016. It was supposed to consist of three issues and one expansion, and the comics were supposed to go on sale in October 2016. The content was not disclosed at the time.

As a reminder, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which will be the first spin-off of the new Star Wars trilogy, will be released in December 2016. The movie stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudik, Donnie Yen, Ben Mendelssohn, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Alistair Petrie, Jonathan Aris, Reese Ahmed and other actors.
