As reported by The Hollywood Reporter , Mike Medavoy (Black Swan, Island of the Damned) producer is working with All Nippon Entertainment Works to launch work on a horror manga adaptation called 6000: Rokusen . The newly minted team is going to turn it into a full-length feature film.The events of the printed original take place at a research facility located at an ocean depth of six thousand meters. Three years earlier, for unknown reasons, the entire team of the station died, and it itself was closed. Now a new group of researchers is tasked with rebuilding the center. However, the heroes will have a hard time as they have to fight claustrophobia, their own demons and the threat that killed their predecessors.  “We look forward to seeing audiences around the world watch this intense psychological thriller,” said Mike Medavoy , who, along with Edward McGearn and Ben Anderson, will take on producer functions of the project.
