Fox will descend to the ocean floor
According to The Tracking Board , Chernin Entertainment and 20th Century Fox will join forces on Underwater .The plot of the thriller will be based on Brian Duffield's screenplay ("Divergent, Chapter 2: The Insurgent") aboutsix ocean explorers who will have to escape from underwater captivity after their station is destroyed by an earthquake. Duffield 's lyrics attracted the interest of producer Peter Chernin (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), who submitted it to the management of Fox for review. After the Hollywood major decided to give the project the green light, Chernin and his partner at Chernin Entertainment Tonya Davis were given production functions.
