Lionsgate Films Odyssey
The release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay. Part 2 ", and Lionsgate is already starting preparations for a new large-scale project - the adaptation of " Odyssey " Homer.To create the historical epic, the studio hired Francis Lawrence as the director, Peter Craig selected the scriptwriter, and Nina Jacobson will take over the production functions. All three have already collaborated on films from the Hunger Games franchise. The classic story has already been filmed several times by Hollywood filmmakers. For example, Kirk Douglas played the main role in the 1954 film Odyssey's Wanderings. Also the poem Homer about the long journey home after the end of the Trojan War formed the basis of the films "Big Fish" by Tim Burton and "Oh, where are you, brother?" Coen brothers.
