The CW will go to the woven world
As it became known to the edition Deadline , the channel The CW has begun work on the drama "The Woven World" ( Weaveworld ) - adaptation of the novel of the same name by Clive Barker .The script for the future series was written by Jack Kenny ("Warehouse 13" / Warehouse 13 ). He, along with Clive Barker and Angela Mancuso, will act as executive producer. The work was first published in 1987. The film adaptation is a modern version of the events described in the book Barker .A computer programmer is forced to join forces with a pastry chef who has just learned about her true destiny. The heroine is the guardian of a mythical kingdom, the entrance to which is in an abandoned mansion. And the newly-made duo will have to fight the forces of evil, dreaming of establishing their power over the entire magical world.  For more than a decade, The Woven World has been considered a difficult book to adapt to television, requiring a lot of special effects to create. However, The CW already has a similar experience with the superhero shows Arrow ( Arrow ) and The Flash , so fans Barker's can hope that the work will finally be filmed.
