Saw 8 Writer adapts The Woven World (Topic)

The CW has recruited a new writer for its high-priority upcoming television project, based on Clive Barker's dark fantasy novel "Weaveworld", 1987 edition. Instead of retired Jack Kenny, Josh Stolberg (Piranhas 3D) will write the script for the drama series. Barker and Angela Mancuso ("Tut") will act as executive producers. This is reported by the publication Deadline.

In the series "The Woven World", two ordinary people are forced to go in search of a magic kingdom, to protect it and thereby save all of humanity from evil forces.

For many years The Woven World was considered too difficult to adapt to a television format due to its scale and movieing, which would require expensive special effects. Now, with the development of modern technologies, such television networks as The CW ("Arrow", "Flash") can afford to set a certain budget for a project of this magnitude. Over the past couple of decades, there have been numerous attempts to movie The Woven World as a miniseries, including on Showtime.
