The Goblin King will return in a remake
The cult musician and actor David Bowie has recently passed away. According to The Hollywood Reporter , one of his films will receive a remake. Tri-Star has signed a contract with The Jim Henson Company and plans to produce its own version of Labyrinth .The original tells the story of a teenage girl (Jennifer Connelly) who has only 13 hours to get out of the maze and save her younger brother Toby (Toby Froud). He was taken by the Goblin King ( Bowie ) at the request of the heroine herself. The film was released in 1986 and flopped at the box office, grossing only $ 12 million . Despite this, as well as negative reviews from critics, the film became very popular after a few years. The tape also became the last directorial work of the great Jim Henson, and the script was written by one of the members of the comic group Monty Python Terry Jones. Labyrinth is executive produced by George Lucas. It is currently unknown whether the creators of the remake will make significant changes to the plot or not.  The script for the project is led by Nicole Perlman, who wrote the original text for the blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy.
