Casting: Bacon for the marathon, Parsons for the witches
Kevin Bacon will join the cast of the thriller " Patriot Day ", reports the Variety news portal. His co-stars on set will include Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman, Michelle Monaghan and Jay Kay Simmons.The film will be directed by Peter Berg (Battleship), and the script was directed by Matt Charman. Wahlberg , Scott Stuber, Stephen Levinson, Michael Radutski and Dorothy Ophiero are responsible for the production of the project. The film focuses on the terrorist attack that took place in 2013 during the Boston Marathon. After two bombings, law enforcement officials and volunteers joined forces to capture the criminals. Bacon will play FBI agent Richard Delorier - one of the key participants in the investigation.  Bacon has already appeared on the screens as representatives of the FBI - in the TV series "The Following" ( The Following ) and the crime thriller "Black Mass". Now Kevin is developing the sequel to the thriller "The Tremors.  Robin Wright ("Forrest Gump") is in talks to take on a role in the upcoming sequel to " Blade Runner ." Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling have already signed up to take part in the filming. The second part will be directed by Denis Villeneuve ("The Assassin") and written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green. The sequel will unfold several decades after the final of the original film, which, we recall, took place in Los Angeles in 2019. Ford will again try on the image of Rick Deckard , and there is no information yet about what roles will go to Gosling and Wright .  Jim Parsons (Wish I Was Here) is planning to star in the comedy Man-Witch . The actor will also share the production of the tape with Neil H. Moritz. Studio Warner Bros. acquired the film's script application back in 2005, but the project has been gathering dust on the shelf for a long time. Once, a simple school teacher discovers magical abilities in himself. Having found out about this, the coven of witches takes him to his place and sends him to study in a special school. But the hero will have a very difficult time there, because he is the only adult among a whole horde of little girls.
