By joining forces 5 years ago, longtime friends Ben Affleck and Matt Damon formed a production company called Pearl Street Films. During this time they managed to release the drama "Manchester by the Sea", which won two Oscars, the thriller "Law of the Night", an action movie about Jason Bourne, as well as the fantastic series "The Corporation". We recently wrote that Affleck and Damon are planning to take on a film about the first American undercover officers to appear in Boston. This city will also feature another project the company is working on, namely the Showtime TV series City on a Hill. And as it became known to the Variety edition, the show has already acquired leading roles. Actors Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge signed on to take part in the project."City on a Hill" tells about the political initiative implemented in 1996 and went down in history as the "Boston Miracle". The action of the series will take viewers into the early 90s, when the capital of Massachusetts was full of criminals covered by the law, and racism was considered the norm. But one day everything changed. African American District Attorney Ward (Hodge) came to Boston from Brooklyn and formed an alliance with a corrupt but still respected FBI veteran Jackie Rhodes (Bacon). Together they fought a group of armed robbers from Charlestown. The case grew and eventually led to a reform of the city's justice system ...   “Kevin Bacon exudes intelligence and mystery in every role he plays,said Showtime President David Nevins. In addition to Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, Jennifer Todd, Chuck McLean, James Mangold and Michael Cuesta are assigned as executive producers. The latter will also take the director's chair, while the previously mentioned McLean will write the script.  Kevin Bacon is a Golden Globe and Actors Guild Award winner. Among his most recent works are the TV series Followers, the crime drama Black Mass, and the thriller Patriot Day. Bacon is currently filming the SyFy show, a remake of the 90s cult film Tremors.
