The 34th Annual Sundance Film Festival is ending in Park City, Utah.This year, Sundance has once again confidently justified the title of the world's largest show of independent cinema: the organizing committee of the festival received applications from the creators of 13,468 films. 110 full-length and short films from 29 countries of the world were selected to participate in the main competition programs. At the same time, 47 of them were filmed by debutant directors. Film and television stars such as Jada Pinkett Smith, Octavia Spencer and Michael Stullbarg were invited to the jury of the festival. Actor Jason Mantsukas was the host of the main awards ceremony. Sundance 2018 winners in the main categories are: Best American Drama Film - Cameron Post's Wrong Parenting - Director Desiree Akhavan  Best American Drama Director - Sarah Colangelo (The Teacher) Waldo Salt Prize for Best Screenplay in an American Drama Film - Christina Chou (Nancy) Audience Award for American Drama - Burden, directed by Andrew Heckler Best Foreign Drama Film - "Butterflies" (Turkey, director Tolga Karachelik)  Best Foreign Drama Film Director - Isold Uggadottir (Breathe Freely) Special Jury Prize for Best Screenplay for a Foreign Drama Film - Sebastian Hofmann (Timeshare) Audience Award in the category "Foreign Drama Film" - "Wine" (Denmark, directed by Gustav Meller) Best American Documentary - "Kailash" - Director Derek Donin  Best American Documentary Director - Alexandria Bombach ("On Her Shoulders") Audience Award for American Documentary - The Sentence, directed by Rudy Valdez Best Foreign Documentary Film - "About Fathers and Children" (Germany / Syria / Lebanon, director Talal Derki)  Best Foreign Documentary Director - Sandy Tan (Truesters) Audience Award in the Foreign Documentary Category - This is Home (USA / Jordan, director Alexandra Shiva) Audience Award in the NEXT category - Search (directed by Anish Chaganti)  Best Short Film - Matria (Spain, director Alvaro Gago Diaz) The Topic of Article: ”Sundance - 2018”.
