Sam Rockwell will travel to Nazi Germany
Taiki Waititi's new project, to which the director of "Ragnarek" is also writing the script, is slowly acquiring famous actors. Sam Rockwell, who won an Oscar for his role in the crime drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, has joined the Jojo Rabbit team, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The story of WWII is produced by Fox Searchlight, with funding from Carthugh Neal and Chelsea Winstanley, and Scarlett Johansson has already been assigned to one of the roles.The plot revolves around a boy named JoJo, whose imaginary friend becomes none other than Hitler himself, performed by Waititi. While the young hero dreams of becoming a part of the Hitler Youth, his mother (Johansson) secretly works for the Resistance and hides a Jewish girl in the attic of her house. When JoJo finds the fugitive, he hopes to get rid of her as soon as possible, but gradually begins to see her as a person ... Rockwell will play the Nazi captain who runs the Hitler Youth. After his role as a racist policeman in Three Billboards, the actor not only received an Academy Award, but also received Golden Globe and BAFTA awards for Best Supporting Actor.  Although Johansson, Waititi and Rockwell have never worked on the same set, all three have previously been involved in Marvel projects.
