Bond writer to talk about da Vinci
Even that summer, it became known that Leonardo DiCaprio was to be reincarnated as Leonardo da Vinci in the new Paramount project based on the book by Walter Isaacson. According to Variety, the studio has recently found a worthy screenwriter for the film adaptation.The adaptation of the story of the great artist and inventor for large screens will be handled by John Logan, who worked on several parts of the James Bond film, the drama "Genius" and the historical action movie "The Last Samurai". Logan has received three Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Keeper of the Time, The Aviator, and The Gladiator. The new project should be the second collaboration between Logan and DiCaprio, previously met on the set of "Aviator". Isaacson's Story, published in October by Simon & Schuster, based on thousands of pages of notes by da Vinci himself, focuses on his versatility. In addition to painting, he was interested in anatomy, botany, geology and much more, and also had an unparalleled curiosity and imagination.
