The Life and Adventures of Leonardo da Vinci
The legendary artist, scientist and inventor Leonardo da Vinci continues to excite the minds and hearts of television figures. The popular fantasy drama Da Vinci's Demons will be replaced by the mini-series Leonardo.Steve Thompson ("Sherlock") and three-time Emmy nominee Frank Spotnitz ("The X-Files") undertook the eight-part production. The main director of Leonardo will be BAFTA TV award winner Daniel Percival (Dirty War, The Man in the High Castle). The image of the genius of the Renaissance will be embodied by the star of the film trilogy "The Hobbit" and the detective mini-series "And There Was No One" Aidan Turner.  The production of Leonardo will be handled by The Alliance studio, created by three leading European broadcasters - RAI, France Television and ZDF.
