Arrakis welcomes new guests
In recent years, Rebecca Ferguson has become part of the Mission: Impossible franchise, and recently signed up to take part in the filming of the new Men in Black. However, the actress does not plan to limit herself to just a couple of large-scale projects and is now ready to go to Arrakis.As The Hollywood Reporter found out, Ferguson will join Timothy Chalamet on the set of the new film adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune, which is being prepared by Denis Villeneuve (Blade Runner 2049). Legendary studio intends to start working on the film at the beginning of next year. Recall that "Dune" tells the story of the Atreides family, who gained power over the planet Arrakis. Melange spice is mined here, and other powerful clans are fighting for control over the source of this valuable resource. After a military coup, the heir of House Paul is forced to go into the desert and enlist the support of local aborigines in order to raise a rebellion and return his family to power in Arrakis. Chalamet will portray Paul, and Ferguson got the role of his mother, Lady Jessica, who escapes with her son into the desert and helps him become the messiah in the eyes of the nomads.  In addition to the Men in Black spin-off, the filming of which has already started, Ferguson's immediate plans also include an adaptation of King's Doctor of Sleep.
