Zazie Bitts eyeing Joker
Deadpool sequel star Zazie Beetz will switch from an absurd superhero comedy to a hard-hitting drama about becoming the greatest villain in the comic book world. As it became known to the Collider edition, the actress is currently in talks with Warner Bros. about joining the filming of the Joker solo album.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Beetz will play a single mother who caught the attention of a man doomed to become the Joker. This character description fits well with the aesthetics of the crime thriller that the filmmakers promise. Recall that the picture with Joaquin Phoenix as the clown-prince of the underworld will not enter the DC cinematic universe. The tape will be darker and more budgetary than other blockbusters in the studio.  To create the image of the Joker, screenwriters Todd Phillips and Scott Silver were inspired by the protagonists of the films Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy. They commented on the upcoming film: "This is not only a story about a man who is rejected by society, but also a cautionary tale."
