Unfortunately, the creators of modern films do not always announce which films have become the main sources of their inspiration. Director and screenwriter Jordan Peele decided to stand out from his colleagues and told Entertainment Weekly what famous horror and thrillers his actors had to watch to participate in the creation of the horror film We.At the beginning of last year, the popular American comedian quite unexpectedly turned to the horror genre and made a splash with his film debut, Get Out. The film earned a lavish 98% rating on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, grossed more than $ 255 million at the box office on a modest $ 4.5 million budget, and earned Jordan an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. If “Get Out” can be called a social thriller, then the next Saw tape, apparently, will become one hundred percent horror. In the center of the plot of the painting "We" will be a family of four, who went on summer holidays. The main characters of the horror do not yet suspect that soon uninvited guests who look like them like two drops of water will sneak into their beach house ...  Oscar-winning Lupita Nyong'o will appear in the images of the mother of an unlucky family and her mysterious counterpart. In order for the actress to better prepare for the double role, the director invited her to watch several thrillers and horror films, united by a common film language. Among them were the tapes "Babaduk", "Let Me In", "Funny Games", "The Story of Two Sisters", "Martyr", "It", "Birds", "Shining", "To Die Again" and "The Sixth Sense" ... With the release of this list, Jordan Peele has given moviegoers the opportunity to refresh their minds or get to know these films for the first time, so that they can fully enjoy the references to the horror classics while watching his new work.
