Not only ordinary viewers are waiting for the completion of the historic deal, but also employees of various departments of the 20th Century Fox studio, who do not yet know whether they will be able to save their jobs. Representatives of the family wing of the Fox corporation decided to become the creators of their own destiny and prove that they can easily join the ranks of Disney.As it became known to Variety, the Fox Family department begins work on the film adaptation of Chris McCoy's book "The Prom Goer's Interstellar Excursion." The teenage novel went on sale three years ago and has earned a warm welcome in literary circles. The main character of the sci-fi story was a high school student named Bennett, who invited the charming Sophie to the prom. A few days before the ceremony, right in front of the guy, his beloved is kidnapped by treacherous aliens. Bennett travels into distant space with eccentric alien musicians to rescue the girl of his dreams and return to Earth for the start of the school ball.  The adaptation of the book for the big screen will be handled by Chris McCoy himself, who made his screenwriter debut in 2015 with the comedy Good Children. * - preliminary translation.
