The birth of a sexy creature
The wave of TV remakes and spin-offs of once-hit films is still ongoing, and Anonymous Content and Paramount Television have chosen highly unusual intellectual property for such a project. Deadline reports that they are preparing a prequel for the gangster thriller "Sexy Beast" for TV.Jonathan Glazer's tape told the story of former criminal Gale Dave (Ray Winston), who moved with his wife Didi (Amanda Redman) to Spain to start a new life, and his longtime accomplice Don Logan (Ben Kingsley). The latter by any means is ready to attract Gal to participate in the robbery of the century commissioned by the crime boss Teddy Bass (Ian McShane). The upcoming series will focus on the still young Gale, who is just starting to work with Don Logan on Teddy Bass and meets an adult star named Didi - his future wife. Gal is a genius thief and Don is a brutal gangster, and the show will focus on their complex relationship that developed in London during the turbulent 90s. The script for the project is being done by Michael Kaleo, who knows a lot about the affairs of the criminal world thanks to The Sopranos.  The original was remembered by moviegoers, first of all, for its acting, and Ben Kingsley was even nominated for an Oscar for it.
