Paramount Players will show studio executives and contemporary pop stars' managers how to organize massive PR campaigns. Deadline has learned that Paramount Pictures, a subsidiary of the Hollywood major, has acquired the rights to create the film based on Chris Lee's article "When Prince Made His Maid Queen for a Day.In 1986, Warner Bros. flashed with creativity and staged a spectacular promotional campaign for the musical film "Under the Cherry Moon", which became the directorial debut of the famous singer Prince. The "Win a Date with Prince" telephone contest was organized in collaboration with MTV. The prize for the ten thousandth caller to the hotline of the music channel was the opportunity to spend an evening in the company of a pop icon and watch him perform right in his hometown. The winner of the competition was the maid Lisa Barber from the cowboy town of Sheridan in Wyoming. The WB management kept their promise and brought Prince to the American backwaters, who not only gave a live concert for the residents of Sheridan, but also brought with him the reels of the film "Under the Cherry Moon".  The screenplay for the film, tentatively titled "Queen for a Day", was written by Josh Stolberg ("Avatar: The Legend of Aang"). Paramount Players had intended to hand over the lyrics to 500 Days of Summer and Woe Creator, Scott Neistadter and Michael H. Weber, but they found themselves busy with other work and chose to limit themselves to production. Fortunately for the studio bosses, the duo turned out to be a young screenwriter named Flora Grison. The famous Hollywood actress and director Elizabeth Banks ("Pitch Perfect 2"), who expects to play one of the main roles in the film, will join Neistadter and Weber on the production post.  According to preliminary information about Grison's script, Prince will remain behind the scenes all the time, and the main heroines of the film will be the shy winner of the WB competition and the Manhattan PR woman, who was entrusted with organizing the trip of the pop star to Wyoming.
