Danai Gurira sharpens his sword on Godzilla
"The Walking Dead" and "Black Panther" star Danai Gurira has begun negotiations to film WB's "Godzilla vs. Kong", directed by Adam Wingard. Casting continues, with Gurira joining actors such as Millie Bobby Brown (Mysterious Events) and Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2). Filming is scheduled to be completed by May 22, 2020, Deadline reports.It also became known that Gurira is looking towards Star Trek, a well-known media franchise with the first and so far the only female director, S. J. Clarkson, who directed the TV series “Accomplice” for Netflix with Carey Mulligan.  Danai Jakesai Gurira is best known for her role as the fierce Michonne in The Walking Dead, and movie fans may remember her as the warrior princess from the blockbuster Black Panther.
