Rock 'n' roll pioneer will receive a new biopic
Executive producers Rick French and Patrick Shanahan will collaborate with Buddy Holly's widow Maria Elena Holly to film a biopic about the famous musician's life, Variety reports. Called Clear Lake, the 1958 Biggest Show of Stars Tour featured Holly and Clarence Collins, founder of Little Anthony and the Imperials. Patrick Shanahan will also write the script for the tape.The planned budget of the project is $ 12 million. Production will begin in February 2019 - 60 years after the death of one of the pioneers of rock and roll in a plane crash near the city of Clear Lake, Iowa, which also killed Richie Valens and J.P. Richardson , better known as Big Bopper.  Holly gained popularity in 1957 with the release of the hit single `` That'll Be the Day '', which topped the UK charts.
