Our Lady of Hell will rise to the cinema screens

Image As it became known to the Internet portal Deadline, authors Laura Moss and Brendan Jamison O'Brien will write the script for the film adaptation of Preston Fassel's book Our Lady Of The Inferno, which will be done by Fangoria.

A book by American journalist Preston Fussel (Safe Place) about the events in New York in the 80s was released this year and is the first novel to be published by Fangoria Presents. Moss and O'Brien will co-write the screenplay with the novel's writer, who will also executive produce the film alongside Phil Nobail (Halloween: The Inside Story) and Dallas Zonnier (Bone Tomahawk). Amanda Presmik (Roll In Asphalt) has been appointed producer.

The book tells about nine days in the life of two deadly women, whose stories intersect in the plot. The first is Ginny Carwa, a 21-year-old polymath who runs a brothel, and the second is Nicolette Astaire, a city security inspector. In her spare time, Nicolette is a serial killer who kidnaps and hunts women in a maze she herself built in a junkyard on Staten Island.

Laura Moss and Brendan O'Brien are currently working on the horror film After Birth for the same company Fangoria, and earlier this year they presented their short film Allen Anders: Live at the Comedy Castle - Circa 1987 at the festival South by Southwest. Moss will also direct the horror film Hide Your Eyes.

Fangoria Studios, which was acquired by Texas-based film company Cinestate, recently completed work on the comedy horror film Satanic Panic directed by Chelsea Peters with Rebecca Romaine (X-Men).
