Boyle's new film, named after the Beatles' greatest hit, Yesterday, and USA localization, Yesterday, is a mix of music, science fiction, and romantic comedy. Oscar-nominated Richard Curtis, who wrote the scripts for hits such as Four Weddings and One Funeral and Love Actually, was responsible for the latter component. Himesh Patel ("East Endians") will try to appropriate the compositions of the Liverpool quartet, for whom the picture can become a real finest hour.
