Joaquin Phoenix first appeared as the Joker
In recent months, production of Todd Phillips' Joker has been going very fast, but the details of the tape are still under wraps. It's not entirely clear how the film will tie into DC comics, and it's not at all clear if Batman will appear there. Fans have not yet been shown Joaquin Phoenix in full make-up of the Clown-Prince of the underworld, but the director of the picture posted on his personal Instagram a photo of the actor before his transformation into a villain - without a bleached face and painted mouth.Under the photo, the director has declassified the character's name - Arthur. Until now, there have been unfounded rumors that the new Joker will bear the name of Jack Napier. That was the name of the hero Jack Nicholson in "Batman" by Tim Burton.  In addition, several photos from the filming of the upcoming film have leaked to the Network.     Recall that the tape about the antihero is not associated with the expanded DC universe, where the role of the character is played by Jared Leto. The film tells the story of the rise of the famous villain, starting from the time when he worked as a comedian in New York. The producers do not share the rest of the plot details, but several important characters from Arthur's life are known - his mother (Frances Conroy), talk show host (Robert De Niro), the organizer of the same show (Mark Maron) and a single mother living next door ( Zazie Bitts).
