USAn Boxing Office is still training
In anticipation of this week's high-profile novelty, the blockbuster "Avengers: Infinity War", a lull has come over the weekend in the USA box office. Of course, they couldn't do without premieres, but they can't boast of impressive results either. Working Saturday, of course, affected the overall box office, and the weekend itself turned out to be not quite standard and indicative. The distributors have not yet summed up the official results of the additional three weekends, but the revenue of the standard four-day period (04/26-29/04) fell by 31% compared to the results of a week ago and amounted to only 450 million rubles. Under normal conditions, this could be called the worst weekend in financial terms of the year.The leading position was retained by Danila Kozlovsky's directorial debut - the sports drama Coach. However, even though the picture had no serious competitors, it showed a strong drop in fees - more than 55%. The second week of distribution brought the film about the football coach 148 million rubles, and in total he received 571 million rubles from the audience. Over the past six months, this is already the third film on a sports theme, and its predecessors behaved much better at the box office. "Moving up", although it was delayed a little at the start, but over the second weekend showed a phenomenal increase and collected about 655 million rubles, and in total the picture after two weeks had already 1.22 billion rubles. Melodrama "Ice" added about 400 million rubles for the second weekend, thus bringing the total cash to 1.09 billion rubles.  Following the "Trainer" were three new items of the past week. Of these, the best at the box office was the USA cartoon Smeshariki. Deja vu ". In the third feature-length project of the popular animation franchise, the heroes embark on an amazing journey through time and find themselves scattered across different eras. Having mastered almost 87 million rubles in the first weekend, "Smeshariki" never exceeded the premiere fees of the first two parts. "Smeshariki: The Beginning" in December 2011 earned 119 million rubles at the start, and the continuation of the story, "Smeshariki. The Legend of the Golden Dragon, ”debuted two years ago at 120 million rubles. In their reviews, viewers praise the quality of the animation, the bright and dynamic picture, but the story itself raised many questions from them. The cartoon came out too old  Third place went to Truth or Dare, a new project from Blumhouse Productions, which recently featured the highly successful Get Out, Split and Happy Day of Death. According to the plot, instead of a fun game, the heroes of the picture find themselves involved in a cruel race with death, when something supernatural is connected to the process. The studio's last project, the horror film "Happy Day of Death", began distribution at 93 million rubles. "Truth or Dare" did not reach this result, although it started a little better than analysts' forecasts, predicting the film's grosses in the region of 60 million rubles. The debut weekend brought 64 million rubles to the film by Jeff Wadlow. and cool reviews from viewers. They call the film "a typical teenage horror movie", complain about a weak script, a banal and predictable plot, unconvincing acting.  Another USA film, the war drama "Tanks", started from the fourth line. The events of the tape unfold in 1940 and tell about the engineer Mikhail Koshkin, who developed the prototype of the T-34 tank and, in order to prove the uniqueness of the combat vehicle, went with his team to Moscow on these very tanks. The main role went to Andrei Merzlikin, and the creators of the military drama "Panfilov's 28" were involved in filming. Compared to the premiere results of this picture, the collection of the history of the T-34 tank looks more than modest. In 2016, Panfilov's 28 employees earned 154 million rubles at the start. Analysts predicted a box office of 110 million rubles for the new film directed by Kim Druzhinin, but in the first weekend at the box office, he was able to master only 37 million rubles. Reviewers note the good acting and camera work, but not all of them appreciated that, taking historical events as a basis, the creators added too much fantasy, depriving the picture of realism and turning it into an adventure road movie.  The horror "Quiet Place" has been in the top five for the third week already. The tape about a family trying to survive in a world inhabited by dangerous monsters with keen hearing added 27 million rubles to its piggy bank. All in all, on the account of the film, which fell to the liking of the most biased fans of horror films and managed to draw the attention of the film industry to the directorial talent of actor John Krasinski, has already collected 299 million rubles.
