Along with her, DC characters such as Black Canary, The Huntress, Rene Montoya and the young Cassandra Kane will appear on the screens. Now the journalists have found out who will become the main antagonist of the film comics: his name is Roman Zionis - Batman's enemy known as the Black Mask. The villain first appeared in print in 1985. The novel was born into one of the richest families in Gotham. However, over time, he led to the collapse of the family business, and soon after he killed his own parents. With no more family or business empire, Zionis turned into a criminal under the pseudonym Black Mask. At the same time, the mask that Roman uses is made from a fragment of his father's coffin. Until now, the antagonist has appeared in the animated series and animated films Batman: Under the Hood and Batman: Bad Blood. The creators of the series "Gotham" also presented their version of the character, but here his name was no longer Roman, but Richard Zionis, and played by Todd Stashwick.  Birds of Prey will be directed by Katy Yan and written by Christine Hodson (Locked Up). The start of filming is scheduled for January next year, and the film itself will be released in 2020.
