Infinity War is the undisputed financial hit of this year, but Black Panther has grossed even more North American box office hits than any other Avengers. Therefore, the company's desire to diversify is understandable.In confirmation of the words of Victoria Alonso, executive vice president of Marvel, that the cinematic universe will become even more diverse, the studio announced the start of work on the film about Shang Chi. He will be the first Asian protagonist in the franchise. Marvel bosses are going to invite an Asian director to the director's chair based on the Black Panther success formula. Dave Callaham was chosen as the scriptwriter for the film. His track record includes a variety of projects - from the comedy series Jean Claude Van Johnson to The Expendables and the sequel to Wonder Woman. Shang-Chi appeared on the pages of comics back in the 70s, when the whole world was under the impression of "Enter the Dragon" with Bruce Lee. Shang-Chi is the son of the Chinese mafia Fu Manchu. From childhood, the boy was taught martial arts, thanks to which he became one of the greatest martial arts masters on Earth. When Shang-Chi found out that his father was actually a villain, he turned against him.  While its plans for the cinematic universe, the Marvel studio is trying to disclose to a minimum.
