More heroes, good and different
Victoria Alonso, executive vice president of Marvel Studios, who has contributed to hits such as Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, hopes the cinematic universe will grow even more diverse.In an interview with the BBC, she said that Marvel's plans include a broader representation of minorities:"We release two or three films a year, so it's hard to show everyone we want in them, but we definitely want to do it". Alonso also listed the groups in question: Hispanics, Asian Americans and the LGBT community, who are often marginalized in the media. Previously, the studio has successfully incorporated strong heroines into its universe: Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson).
