Arnie will go to the Wild West
Only yesterday we reported that Amazon was going to shoot a series about the legendary warrior Conan, and today the online service got hold of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who played him on the big screens, albeit for a completely different project. The actor will join the company of colleagues in the workshop who migrated to TV, and will play the main role in a western called Outrider, as reported by the portal Deadline.The new show will take place at the end of the 19th century on the Indian Reservation in Oklahoma. The project is a dark and dangerous story about a deputy sheriff, who receives a difficult task from a judge - to find a legendary criminal in the wilderness. For justice to prevail, the hero will have to join forces with a rude federal marshal, and as events unfold, enemies will turn into allies, and the line between good and evil will gradually disappear. Schwarzenegger got the role of federal marshal, who moved from Europe to America as a child. Amazon's Western will be Schwarzenegger's first significant role on the small screens. Arnie's desire to win the love of TV lovers is understandable: in recent years, the actor has given preference to serious dramatic projects like Infected and Aftermath, which are often underestimated by viewers. True, it is still difficult to imagine Schwarzenegger as a cowboy in the Wild West, although he had already tried his hand at the genre, but the film "Cactus Jack" was still shot in a comedic vein.
