Burt Reynolds died
Today Hollywood says goodbye to actor, director and producer Burt Reynolds, who passed away at 83. The cause of death was cardiac arrest.Burt was born in 1936 in Georgia, then moved to Florida and went to college, where he wanted to seriously take up football. However, after suffering a knee injury, he switched to acting. Reynolds got his first role in the TV series "Riverboat" on NBC in 1959. Two years later, the actor made his debut on the big screen in the film "Angelic Child". In the 60s, his career took off: he embodied the image of the title character in Navajo Joe, as well as Detective Hawke in the show of the same name. Breakthrough for Bert was John Boerman's film "Deliverance", which brought him fame in Hollywood. However, the actor preferred action-comedy to serious dramas. His track record includes the cult trilogy "Smokey and the Bandit", paintings "Races" Cannonball " and The Longest Yard.  At one time, Reynolds abandoned a number of films that later became incredibly popular. He bypassed the roles of Han Solo in the first Star Wars, John McClane in Die Hard, and Garrett Breedlove in Tongue of Tenderness, who were later played by Harrison Ford, Bruce Willis and Jack Nicholson, respectively. In the 90s, Bert again reminded of himself, embodying the image of a porn director in Paul Thomas Anderson's film "Boogie Nights", for which he was nominated for an Oscar and received a Golden Globe. Surprisingly, he didn't like the role so much that he fired his agent.  “I've always fought to the last,- wrote the actor in the last paragraph of his memoirs. -So far, everything is going fine. I know that I am old, but I feel young. And no one can take away from me how wonderful I have lived my life. ”. Reynolds was scheduled to star in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He got the role of the historical character George Spahn, who leased his ranch to Charlie Manson and his "Family" before the murder of Sharon Tate.
