Universal has abandoned its plans to release a licensed copy of How To Steal a Skyscraper just three weeks after the premiere. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The Hollywood major succumbed to the onslaught from the major movie theater chains, which threatened to boycott the comedy, in which Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy played the main roles. At the same time, representatives of the movie studio confirmed its willingness to support the Premium VOD service, which implies a reduction in the time period between theatrical premiere of movies and the release of their licensed copies.
