GK Films will relaunch Lara Croft
GK Films has acquired the rights to shoot a feature movie based on the popular Tomb Raider Lara Croft series. This is reported in the official press release of the company. “We are honored to take part in the reboot of this worldwide popular franchise and to continue the development of the Lara Croft phenomenon,” commented the producer of the project, Graham King. The first movie in the new series is expected to be released in 2013. It is not yet known who will direct the movie and who will play the main role. Earlier it was reported that one of the likely contenders for the image of Croft is the actress Olivia Wilde.
