Sony made excuses for their projectors
After a devastating article in the Boston Globe newspaper, which said that Sony's projection systems installed in many American cinemas are very difficult to operate, and, in this regard, viewers are forced to watch movies of inferior quality, the company considered it necessary make an official statement. Sony's press release provides specifications for projection systems and refutes claims that light output drops by 80 percent when playing 2D movies with 3D lenses. In particular, it is argued that a qualified projectionist should spend no more than 20 minutes changing lenses, and polarized lenses `` filter '' no more than 20 percent light.
