Hugh Jackman will star in Orders to Kill, based on the novel of the same name by William Pepper. This is reported by the LA Times.

Pepper, who was a close friend of Martin Luther King for many years, conducted his own investigation into the circumstances of the murder of the civil rights fighter and concluded that the accused of the crime, James Earl Ray, was innocent. According to the author, it was only part of a large-scale conspiracy to eliminate King.

Filming will take place at Millennium Film studio, director Lee Daniels is appointed. The terms of work on the project have not yet been approved.

Recall that Martin Luther King was shot dead in Memphis in April 1968. The investigation lasted for about a year, and as a result, the alleged killer James Earl Ray was arrested in London. At the trial, he confessed to what he had done, and was sentenced to 99 years in prison. However, immediately after the completion of the process, Ray stated that he had incriminated himself.
