James Robert Smith's novel The Flock, which revolves around the Florida amusement park's attempts to reclaim territory from intelligent prehistoric birds, will be brought to the big screen. As THR clarifies, the rights to movie the work have already been acquired by producer Don Murphy, who participated in the creation of Transformers. Murphy discovered the book by accident while participating in a dispute with its author on one of the forums. Wanting to annoy Smith, Murphy acquired his book with the intention of subjecting it to harsh criticism.
