Deadline has obtained exclusive information that Studio 8 has acquired the rights to film the science fiction novel James Smith , titled Way Down Dark .The book is slated to kick off an entire trilogy ofpeople from spaceship Australia looking for a habitable planet. The story in the work is conducted on behalf of the 17-year-old Chan . Her ancestors left the dying Earth hundreds of years ago and since then have not been able to find a new home for themselves. The girl is trying with all her might to save herself and her loved ones, because the ship is fraught with many dangers - cruel gangs rule here, an atmosphere of violence and struggle for survival reigns.The novel is a cross between "Alien" and "Hunger Games".  James Smith , the book's author, is the winner of several professional awards, and his novels The Explorer and No Harm Can Come To A Good Man will also be filmed ...
