Viewers prefer stereoscopic movies
The vast majority of American viewers prefer to watch movies in stereoscopic format. According to Variety, this is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the International Opinion Research Corporation. 52 percent of respondents say that they have watched movies in 3D over the past three years, of which 71 percent believe that watching stereo versions was more enjoyable than attending regular sessions. "Viewers think this is a funnier, more impressive and worthwhile leisure activity," commented Jim Chabin, a spokesman for the stereo content community.
