USAn youth preferred cinema to all other entertainment
USA youth prefers going to the cinema to other types of entertainment. These are the results of a study conducted by VTsIOM. Thus, 52 percent of respondents aged 12 to 17 named going to the movies as one of their favorite leisure activities. It is noteworthy that the choice of adolescents is primarily influenced by the recommendations of other people. 55 percent of those surveyed say they will go to a movie that their friends or loved ones choose, rather than based on personal preference. 65 percent of respondents identified ticket prices as one of the most significant factors when choosing a session. In terms of genres, the most popular are science fiction (45 percent), adventure (58 percent) and comedy (64 percent). At the same time, more than half of the respondents prefer to watch fantastic movies and adventures in 3D, and more than 51 percent of the survey participants noted that watching movies in 3D enhances the experience of special effects. Overall, more than 76 percent of respondents prefer to watch 3D movies at least twice a year. The survey was conducted in the summer of 2018 in 14 largest cities of USA, the total number of respondents was 3821 people.
