Creator of the Silence of the Lambs to movie the Kennedy assassination
Director Jonathan Demme, best known for The Silence of the Lambs, is movieing Stephen King's new novel 11.22.63. This is reported by the Variety edition. The plot of the book is built around a school teacher named Jake Epping, to whom his friend reveals an amazing secret - there is a portal in the warehouse of his diner that moves to 1958. Together, they plan to travel back in time and prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Jake begins a new life in the era of Elvis Presley, big cars and soda with natural sugar and meets the love of his life - the wonderful employee of the local library, Sadie Dunhill. Everything changes when he meets a depressed young man named Lee Harvey Oswald.
