The main role in the prequel to the famous movie by John Carpenter's "Something" will play actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, whom many viewers may remember from Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof, part of the Grindhouse dilogy. The heroine Winstead is a talented American paleontologist who accepts an invitation to take part in the study of an alien ship found by Norwegian polar explorers under the Antarctic ice. The plot is quite obvious. An alien organism that can take any shape will be found on the ship, and the picture will end with a well-known helicopter flight for a seemingly harmless dog that finds shelter with American polar explorers.
