New Premiere Date Announced for The Thing Prequel
Universal Pictures has announced a new premiere date for the horror prequel The Thing. According to the official press release, the movie will be released not on April 29, 2011, as previously planned, but on October 14, 2011. Earlier it was reported that the movie studio initiated the reshoot of some episodes of the movie. Whether this is due to the unsatisfactory quality of the material, or is it explained by the desire to supplement it, is not specified yet. In the prequel, the action will take place at the Norwegian polar station, the research team of which discovers an alien ship under the ice and releases the monster, able to take on any shape.
